Texas-Mexico Border | Two Worlds, One Wall
Finally made it to the Lone Star State! 🎉 This time, I visited the border city of El Paso—drove east on I-10 from Arizona, cut through New Mexico, and in 4 hours, arrived at Anthony, TX, where the iconic "Welcome to Texas" sign greeted me! The U.S.-Mexico Border Wall 📍 Navigate to Anapra Road, Sunland Park, NM 88063 (Fun fact: This road is technically in New Mexico!) Drive to the end, and you'll reach Border Wall #357. 🚔 Encountered two border patrol vehicles—they were cool with me taking photos but recommended keeping ID handy just in case. A Bird's-Eye View of the Border 📍 Scenic Drive is a winding mountain road with epic overlooks. Murchison Rogers Park offers the best vantage point—come at sunset to see both day & night views! 🌇🌃 The red "X" marks the Mexican side, glowing with city lights, while the Texas side stays quieter—such a stark contrast! The Real Star of Texas: BBQ! 🔥 Went to Rudy’s "Country Store" and Bar-B-Q and devoured some juicy brisket & ribs—so worth it! 🤤 Bonus: Cheapest Gas in the U.S.? ⛽ Filled up at $2.20/gallon—probably the lowest price nationwide! (Roadtrippers, rejoice!) 🚗💨 #Texas #TexMex #USMexicoBorder #BorderWall #USRoadTrip #NewMexico #CheapGas #ElPaso #TexasTravel #LoneStarState
