The Airport That Looks Like an Amtrak Station 🛫✨
Solo Day Trip in Santa Fe It felt surreal to return to this artsy town not as a tourist, but for a performance! 🎭 Though the schedule was hectic, I still carved out an afternoon to wander around the Plaza. Since it was my second visit and I’d already hit most major attractions and museums, this time I simply enjoyed strolling and soaking up the spring vibes. 🌸☀️ I flew directly into Santa Fe Airport this time and was amazed by how much it resembles an Amtrak station—tiny, with just one gate! 🚉✈️ The only downside of small airports is connecting flights, but being so close to downtown Santa Fe, getting a taxi is both convenient and affordable. 🚖💵 The area around the Plaza is perfect for exploring solo—so many museums, shops, and hidden gems to discover at your own pace. 🚶♀️🛍️ Famous spots like Loretto Chapel, New Mexico History Museum, and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum are all within walking distance. And I couldn’t get enough of the charming, pudgy-looking adobe buildings everywhere! 🏺🧱 No wonder so many artists are drawn to settle here. Locals told me these structures keep homes cool in summer and warm in winter, with thick walls that withstand harsh desert climates. You can really feel New Mexicans’ love and dedication to earth and tradition. Everywhere you turn, there are unique ceramic workshops and galleries—though be prepared, everything I picked up was way out of my budget! 🎨💸 Highly recommend trying a local pottery class! I signed up for a two-hour workshop and loved my first time using a pottery wheel—super beginner-friendly. 🏺✨ Can’t wait to return for a third visit. Till next time, Santa Fe! 💖 #CaptureTheMoment #SoloTravel #SantaFe #TravelUSA #EatAndExplore #CulturalSites #DayTrip #SoloFemaleTravel #HiddenGems #OffTheBeatenPath #NewMexico #ArtisticRetreat #DesertVibes #PotteryClass #LocalExperiences
