The baby cried! Who would go to Flushing when Manhattan had it?

Maybe it’s because they’re still in soft opening, the food came a bit slow—I got a little antsy waiting. But the second I took that first bite, all the frustration melted away—total comfort food magic! 🔥 The butter chili broth is so fragrant, I could cry. We ordered “mild” spice, but it’s basically medium at other places. The lamb rolls are delicious even without dipping sauce, and after blanching the tripe “seven times up, eight times down” (a classic hotpot technique), dipping it in sesame oil sauce? Pure happiness. This time, my Sichuan friend recommended sliced pork kidney—first time trying it, and wow! No weird kidney taste at all (I usually hate kidney), just tender and fresh. The duck intestines 🦆 and pig brain 🐷 were super fresh too—they put a little strainer in the spicy pot so you don’t lose food when you drop it in. You must get tomato broth for the half-and-half pot! It’s rich and creamy—boil bamboo pith in it for a few minutes, and it soaks up all the soup. Yam and dried winter melon strips stay crunchy but absorb the tomato flavor, and the hand-rolled noodles? So good! The sauce bar deserves a 👍🏻—they even have spicy tripe as a side! Desserts include unlimited cold jelly and watermelon, and after paying, they give free ice cream 🍦—one small cup per person, with strawberry 🍓/chocolate 🍫/vanilla flavors. Big props to the servers! My friend brought her one-year-old, and they gave a little wormwood mosquito-repellent sachet. They also helped rush our order, refilled broth, and got a baby high chair—you could tell they really cared. Only downside: Some dishes aren’t available yet, like my favorite spicy chicken gizzards. Hope they add them soon! 🇺🇸 There was a table of foreigners next to us while we ate, and I suddenly felt so proud. Hope more Americans fall in love with authentic Chinese food—not the PF Chang’s kind! 🇨🇳 Okay, that’s today’s share—hope I made you hungry! Follow me for more NYC life and food bits.
