The Bar Room New York Restaurant Week 🌟 Totally Surprised Me
In a nutshell: Some dishes had the feel of Chinese cuisine. 🍝Today’s 25th Winter Restaurant Week 🎉 The Bar Room, a perennial participant in Restaurant Week (RW), didn’t change its menu much this year. It’s mostly a mix-and-match of different elements. Tuna Tartare is a staple (my friend has visited N times just for this dish) 🍔. The highlight isn’t just the soft, melt-in-your-mouth tuna and avocado, but the crispy, baked puff potato 🥔 layers that elevate the texture to the next level. 🌶️ The chili oil is another familiar face. Last time it was in the butter for the bread, this time it’s in the Chilled Tuna appetizer, paired with crushed peanuts and eggplant puree. It’s a perfect blend of East and West, and it works so well! The pomelo’s sweet and sour notes are the finishing touch. 🍝 The Truffle Tagliatelle with black truffle cream sauce is so delicious! It’s an add-on, but totally worth it. 🍝 #NewYork 🌃
