The BEST Braised Rice Bowl in Exeter! 🍚

So fragrant I could cry 🀀🀀 - this is literally my dream comfort food! I've recommended it to EVERYONE I know πŸ’› No excuses for missing out!! Find it at: 9 Well St, Exeter EX4 6QR. (Menu attached on last slide!) During my year in Exeter, I lost count of how many times I ate here. It perfectly captures that "wok hei" (breath of the wok) magic! Their concise menu offers just 10 options: Stir-fried rice noodles Glass noodles Curry rice Braised rice bowls (Ask about daily specials - the staff will happily show you!) ✨ My Go-To Orders: Braised rice bowl (θ™Ύ/shrimp or 牛肉/beef) Stir-fried glass noodles Pro tip: After many visits, I discovered you can MIX proteins - game changer! Today's Pick: A special braised rice with bamboo shoots 🌽 and other veggies (shrimp version). Not your typical curry - imagine mala xiangguo meets curry spices! Bolder than their #4 option. (Not a bamboo shoot fan, but still devoured it!) Special Dish Alert: Tomato-based rice noodles (looked spicy but was mild). Packed with ingredients though paled next to the flavor bombs above. Verdict: KINKHAO IS LEGENDARY! The aunties and staff radiate warmth ❀️ This post is my love letter to them! #LondonEats #UniOfExeter #ExeterLife #ExeterFoodie #MustEatExeter #ExeterHiddenGems
