Exeter 🏯 | The Hidden Gem Recommended by 10,000 Travelers

After leaving Plymouth due to weather conditions, I made a stop in Exeter on my way back to London—and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! In Summary: Exeter perfectly embodies the phrase "small but complete." It has shopping malls, surprisingly good Chinese restaurants, and a relaxed, peaceful vibe that you just can't find in big cities. Key Highlights 1️⃣ 🚉 Transportation: Main train stations: Exeter Central (city center) and Exeter St. Davids No need to worry about taxis—there are plenty waiting right outside! 2️⃣ 🌈 Must-Visit Spots: The entire city center is worth exploring Exeter Cathedral (the iconic centerpiece) Restaurant street (just 5 minutes from the cathedral) Exeter Museum (especially the animal exhibits and clock collection—fascinating!) 3️⃣ 🏨 Accommodation: Hotel Indigo Exeter by IHG (Highly recommended!) ✓ Spotlessly clean rooms with complimentary disposable slippers (a rarity in UK hotels—even many £200+/night places don’t offer them!) ✓ King-sized bed (plenty of space even for someone 190cm tall) ✓ Excellent service for a hotel in the ~£100/night range 4️⃣ 🍜 Food Scene: Local restaurants are decent, but the Chinese food here stands out: 🥇 Jinli (the best in town) 🥈 Beijing Beijing Hotpot 🍲 (authentic and delicious) Final Thoughts: A fantastic short trip—just 2 hours by direct train from London, making it super convenient.#UK #TravelTheWorld #Wanderlust
