The Best Meal on My West Coast Road Trip — in Fresno! 🥘✨
Google’s highly-rated restaurants in the American West can sometimes feel like a “obedience test” for Chinese taste buds… way too often, it’s overly greasy food and bills nearing triple digits 😅💸. On our way from Sequoia National Park to Yosemite, we stopped in Fresno for a day — and ended up having the most satisfying Chinese-friendly meal of the whole trip! 😋 The spot specializes in individual hot pots (sold as sets), along with grilled skewers, fried snacks, and more. They also seem big on bubble tea and desserts 🧋, but I was too full to try those this time! The menu is full of familiar hot pot ingredients 🥬🍖, and they offer a free self-service sauce bar with a great variety, plus complimentary watermelon and salted peanuts 🥜🍉. I ordered the signature “The J Pot” — spiciness level is fixed at Flaming Spicy 🌶️🔥, and it was SO good! Packed with clams, pork belly, rice noodles, napa cabbage, regular cabbage, taro, corn, pork ribs, beef balls, fish balls… I was stuffed but happy! Highly recommended for spice lovers! If you’re driving through Yosemite or nearby — don’t miss this place! 📍 J Pot 235 E Paseo Del Centro, Fresno, CA 93720 #FoodieFind #ChineseFoodLover #HotPotTime #StudyAbroadEats #YosemiteEats #FresnoFood #ComfortFood #RealChineseFlavor #MissHomeFood
