The Best Part of This French x Japanese Fusion Meal Was the Add-Ons…

✨Miro Kaimuki | Hawaii's French x Japanese Fusion Restaurant✨ Nestled in the space of the long-standing Café Miro, which operated for 23 years, this newly-born Miro Kaimuki is a collaboration between two chefs who previously worked together at Aziza and Mourad in San Francisco. It features French-inspired cuisine with a fusion of Japanese flavors and techniques, making it a highly talked-about spot recently! 🍽️ 🥂 To be honest, I went in with "sky-high expectations"... The result: It wasn't bad, but it didn't blow me away enough to make me want to come back. The five-course meal includes one dessert, and while it's beautifully presented, the portions are really on the small side. Girls might just feel full, but guys definitely won't be satisfied! 🍞 The best part was actually the two add-ons: ✔️ Toast with sashimi (three pieces per serving) ✔️ Oysters (super fresh) These two dishes were the most memorable of the night. But even after adding them on, I still felt a bit empty... 💰 On the price side, it's a bit on the high end: For two people, including drinks, it averages out to almost $300 per person. To be frank, compared to the price and portion size, the value for money isn't that great. If you enjoy exploring creative cuisine, you can give it a try, but it won't make it onto my list of places to revisit. 🌿 However, the overall atmosphere is really great! ✔️ The space is upscale but not stuffy ✔️ There's no strict dress code, so dressing casually is perfectly fine ✔️ It's suitable for anniversaries, dates, and friend gatherings ✔️ You can chat and laugh without feeling out of place 📝 Quick tip: If you have a big appetite or are very hungry, don't come here on an empty stomach! There are no main course starches in the five dishes, so you might still feel hungry. The menu changes irregularly every month! The ingredients are fresh and full of creativity, but the flavors might not suit everyone's taste. #Hawaii
