🥩 The Best Steak of My Life – Right Here in Denver! 🏔️
On our last day after skiing, we headed back to Denver and were strongly recommended to try Buckhorn Exchange — and wow, what an experience! This isn’t just a steakhouse — it’s a wild game sanctuary 🦌🐻 The atmosphere is unforgettable: walls covered in historic animal trophies and vintage hunting photos. Even the menu is designed like a newspaper — you can take it home as a souvenir! Their specialty? Wild game meats like buffalo, elk, quail, pheasant, and even alligator. Here’s what we tried: 🐊 Alligator Tail – Fried and chewy, but no weird taste! 🍤 Rocky Mountain Oysters – Not seafood — they’re sliced and fried bull testicles. Served with two sauces. Tastes like calamari — honestly not bad! 🥩 Buffalo Steak Blackened – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A must-order! So flavorful and perfectly cooked. 🐟 Salmon + Buffalo Tenderloin Combo – ⭐️⭐️⭐️🌟 Solid and satisfying — great mix of land and sea. 🦌 Elk + Quail Combo – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Smoky and gamey in the best way. Elk was a bit chewy but tasty. Every entrée comes with your choice of soup or salad and a side. 💵 Price: Around $100+ per person (we shared an extra steak among 4) If you’re in Denver — don’t miss this one-of-a-kind wild Western dining experience! 🤠 #DenverEats #BuckhornExchange #WildGame #BestSteakEver #ColoradoFood #SkiAndEat
