The fairytale town on South Africa's Garden Route

Bros and sis!! I'm finally here to update you on my South Africa Garden Route trip🌍​ This time, I'll take you on a virtual tour of the fairytale-like Swellendam town~​Get your seats ready!!​ 🚗 A surprising road adventure from the start​ Setting off from Cape Town in the cold air!!​The white mist drifting from the mountains feels like walking into the scene of "Silent Hill"😱​ Stopped by the viewpoint in Hermanus~From July to November, you can see whales breaching the surface of the sea. 🐋 Unfortunately, I missed the perfect timing around Easter…​ But!!I unexpectedly encountered super cute klipspringers🐇​They look like mini capybaras and also like little mice. 🐭Later, I found out they are all over the coastal rocks.​What a magical little animal!!​ 🏡 The healing moment of staying in a fairytale courtyard​ Arrived in Swellendam town in the evening. The Airbnb was right at the entrance of the village. As soon as I opened the door, I was blown away!!​ The host's dog came running over, wagging its tail and asking for cuddles🐕​The huge yard is full of citrus trees and tropical plants.​ Every breath is filled with the fresh countryside air.~​ The host even gave me a map of the town📜​and the restaurant recommendations were super thoughtful.!!​ 🍴 The first Western dining experience with full atmosphere​ Drove around the town for a spin.​It's a tiny place but exquisitely designed to the core!!​Every household's yard looks like a carefully designed garden🌷​ In the evening, I went into a Western restaurant.~​I sat around the fireplace and ate filet mignon and ostrich fillet. 🍖 It was my first time eating ostrich meat. It's a bit tougher than beef, but it's completely acceptable.​ After the meal, the chef came out to ask about the dining experience, which was super considerate.❤️​ 🌞 A 24-hour healing deep dive into the town​ Woke up the next day called by the sunshine.!!​The breakfast prepared by the Airbnb host smelled so good that it was almost unfair.~​The dog was eagerly waiting by the side, hoping to be fed.🐶​I broke off a piece of toast for it, and its tail spun like a propeller.!!​ ✅ Must-visit attractions list​ Pure white church Swellendam Moederkerk ⛪️:​ White roses quietly bloom. Under the lawn, the town's ancestors are buried. The thick tombstones record their lives. It's like a movie scene come to life.!!​ Town museum Drostdy Museum 🏛️:​ The prison-turned-farm tool display area + the courtroom transformed from a court. Even the judge's bedroom feels so vintage.!!​ Bontebok National Park ❌:​ Not worth it.😭​Apart from seeing one at the ticket office, I only saw one antelope from a distance after driving for 2 hours. I did see a lot of antelope droppings, though...
