The giant steak was incredibly satisfying!
I've been in Europe for about half a month now, pretty much tried everything I wanted, and got tired of some of the food π Feeling a bit bloated from eating carbs three times a day every day π΅ When I got to Florence, I finally couldn't take it anymore. I thought to myself, I've got to have some meat. So I kept an eye out for a steakhouse and eventually found this steak specialist, OSTERIA LA BISTECCA π₯© in the city center area. It's very easy to locate, right next to the carousel π‘ο½ On the first night, I ordered the traditional T-bone steak, tuna salad, lasagna, and tiramisu π¨ I got the smaller portion of the steak, but it still weighed in at a whopping 600g, which left me stunned π² The plate was enormous. For someone who hadn't had meat in over ten days, it was like a dream come true. I just dug in, gobbling up the meat. Even though it was medium-rare with a blood-red interior, it wasn't gamey at all. It was incredibly flavorful, even without any salt or pepper. ππ While I was eating, I couldn't help but glance at other people's tables. I saw some foreigners ordering 1.2kg steaks πππ And one person had this huge plate of lobster pasta with a lobster as thick as a baby's arm π¦ It made my mouth water just looking at it. π So, the next day, I just had to come back. The lobster pasta here is so fresh, and one portion is enough to feed three people. π Anyway, the value for money at this place is really high compared to other places I've been in Europe. A 600g steak is only β¬35! The lobster pasta is β¬40! For comparison, in Switzerland, I paid 39.5 Swiss francs for a cheese fondue (a French meal would cost around β¬8.90 per person). Here, I can feast on steak and lobster for an average of β¬30. It feels almost too good to be true. If I were to stay in Florence longer, I'd probably keep coming back here. ππ #HiddenGemRestaurant #AmbianceRestaurant #ItalianCuisine #FlorenceFoodAdventure #FlorenceRestaurantRecommendation #FlorenceTravelGuide #LuxuryOnTheTongue
