The Greek restaurant in Pleasant--Elia
πRestaurant Name: Elia πDishes: The menu here is primarily in Greek, with English descriptions of how the dishes are prepared. Seafood Paella πππππ This is probably the best seafood paella I've had in the past year. It includes a whole lobster, and the overall taste of the paella is excellent, with no bitterness at all (for those who understand, after eating seafood paella from N different places, there's always a burnt bitterness). Moussaka πππππ I consider this the Greek version of lasagna, with layers of eggplant and potatoes, topped with a layer of cheese. It's a very distinctive dish. Kalamarakia ππππ These are fried squid rings, a standard appetizer that's neither exceptional nor disappointing. Poached Pear πππππ A dessert that's perfect for photos, made with a whole pear soaked in a special syrup, served with chopped pistachios and berry sauce, topped with ice cream. Also ordered a type of Greek pastry, but I forgot its name. πAddress: 310 Main St A, Pleasanton, CA 94566 #Elia#Pleasanton#food diary#Greek restaurant
