The Hague's Hidden Gem: A Mediterranean Delight 🥘

I've stumbled upon this Mediterranean restaurant in The Hague, and it's become a favorite of mine after several visits! 🌟 Lemon and Yuzu Raw Salmon Slices: This dish is topped with yuzu zest, offering a tangy, sweet, and fragrant taste that's incredibly tender and delicious! 🍣 Seafood Platter (Seafood Market) for 27.5€: Every item is scrumptious, and the portion is so generous that two of us couldn't finish it. My favorite was the fried baby squid rings served with a sauce that was out of this world. Their mussels were also delightful, not fishy at all, and served warm, which was a pleasant surprise. 🍤 Fresh Tuna for 14.5€: I thought it would be a poke bowl with some staple food, but it turned out to be a cold marinated seafood dish. It was still very tasty, with tuna and avocado. 🥑 French-style Stewed Snails: These garlicky snails are a garlic lover's dream, and the flavor is simply divine! 🧄 Arctic Shellfish Sashimi: The wasabi sauce gives it a slight kick, but it's so good! The meat is firm and crunchy, adding a delightful texture to the dish. 🍣 Spicy Salmon Nigiri: It's spicy and you can't even tell it's raw meat—it's great with rice! 🍚 Cheese Eel Risotto: A small portion, just right for two people. It's a delightful surprise with two slices of eel + cheese + peanuts, all warm and delicious in one bite. 🧀 Other Dishes: The octopus with mashed potatoes is their second signature dish, with creamy mashed potatoes and springy octopus. The grilled cauliflower is good but not astonishing. The grilled beef with feta cheese is super creamy, but if you don't like feta, beware. The bread is delicious, with crispy baguettes served with garlic sauce and tomato salad—definitely order some as a side! 🍞 Desserts: The rice pudding, which was a special of the day, was average, with too much cinnamon and too sweet. The crème brûlée was to die for, with a crispy caramelized sugar top and a not-too-sweet custard underneath. 🍮 The menu suggests 2-3 dishes per person. With my friends, we were three people and ordered so many dishes because we wanted to try everything, plus a bottle of wine, which came to 45€ per person. So, I'd say it's about 30-50€ per person, depending on what you order. Reservations are a must, and they're only open for dinner! 🕟 #Netherlands #DateNight #AtmosphereRestaurant #HiddenGemRestaurantShare #TheHagueFood #DutchLife #WeekendExploration
