The Ivy League Gem: University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia 🏟😅
🌸The University of Pennsylvania (UPenn), an esteemed Ivy League institution in Philadelphia, was founded by American📸 Founding Father Benjamin Franklin in 1740—before the United States even declared independence (1776)! It’s the fourth-oldest university in the U.S., steeped in history and academic excellence. 📜✨ 💧The campus is open and lush, with tree-lined pathways and a surprising number of cars zipping around. Yet, it’s also a haven for wildlife—we spotted adorable squirrels that weren’t the least bit shy about posing for photos! 🐿️ The architecture is Gothic-inspired, blending Oxford/Cambridge-style elegance with American collegiate charm. 🌴 Inside the campus lies a hidden treasure: a museum where you can buy tickets on the spot (no pre-booking needed!). 🎟️🖼️ We visited at noon, and it was surprisingly quiet—perfect for leisurely exploration. The collection is impressive, especially the Asian Gallery,❤️ which houses two stone stelae from the Tang Dynasty’s Six Steeds of Zhao Mausoleum and a Luohan (Arhat) statue from the same series as two displayed at NYC’s Metropolitan Museum of Art! 🐎🗿 #UniversityOfPennsylvania #UPennMuseum #IvyLeague #WorldClassEducation 🌍📚
