The Jazz Nights of Paris, the Sold-Out Bars
Who would have thought? It all started as a way to capture the nights of Paris. A casual drawing of a jazz bar on my iPad. Now, it’s grown to the point where I can piece together a jazz map. 🎨 From Montmartre to the Latin Quarter, each bar has its story. Some are hidden in century-old buildings, others tucked away in unassuming basements. But step through the door, and you’re greeted with the same romance and freedom. 🎷 I remember that bar called “Duc des Lombards”, right in the bustling heart of the city, near Chatelet. With its old-school vibe, it’s always sold out. On the rare occasion it wasn’t, I’d walk in, grab a front-row seat. The voice of the Southern French singer had a hint of Parisian smoke, while the bass and piano played a lively rhythm. As I drew, my hand was dancing to the beat. Little did I know, a guy at the next table captured the moment with his camera, making it one of the few times my drawing was recorded through someone else’s lens. ✨ Now, looking back at these drawings, I can almost smell the whiskey’s aroma, hear the improvisational melodies, feel the warmth of Parisian nights. If you love jazz too, next time you’re in Paris, why not follow my art on a jazz bar crawl? It’s guaranteed to make you fall in love with the city’s nights. 🌙 (Got a bit of a backlog to share, so stay tuned…) #ParisTravel #JazzMusic #iPadArt #TravelIllustration #ParisNightLife #Jazz #JazzLife #ArtExploration #MusicMagicLive #WhereToGoOnVacation
