The Lambs Club 🌟
Judging by the name, you might think it’s all about lamb chops, right? 🌺Actually, it used to be an exclusive private club for the theatrical elite, dating back to 1874. Back then, a group of actors and friends gathered for a post-theater dinner at Delmonico’s in New York’s Union Square. Not wanting the night’s camaraderie to end, they decided to meet regularly and called themselves “The Lambs,” inspired by a similar London dining club named after essayist Charles Lamb and his sister Mary Lamb. The club’s members included actors, playwrights, and other theater-related figures. 🎭 🍽️ 🌺Let’s talk about the food—it’s no surprise they’ve been recommended by the Michelin Guide. The dishes are genuinely good. My favorite was the Gnocchi, and the Prime Short Ribs recommended by the waiter (I can’t remember the exact name, but it wasn’t on the menu). The flavor was out of this world! And their pre-dinner bread, the Parker House Roll 🍞. I seriously wanted to take some home... I had already eaten several before the meal even started. 🥹 🌺 Overall, the dining experience was fantastic, and I was completely won over. 👍👍👍 #MichelinRestaurantRecommendation #NewYorkLife 🌃🌟
