💗The Love | Top-Notch Street View, Average Food, but Cozy Ambiance
The street view is fantastic, located right next to Rittenhouse Square. On a perfect April afternoon at 5 pm, the sun was just right. We had planned to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine while chatting, but my super busy friend insisted on sitting inside. 😌 🍷 Ordered a drink: Fig & Lemon The flavor was delightful! It’s pretty standard compared to other fig cocktails, but it was definitely enjoyable. 🥂 🥣 Mushroom Soup ($15) × 2 Four of us ordered two servings to share. It tasted exactly like a classic, store-bought cream of mushroom soup. The first bite brought back memories of home! 🍲 🐟 Line-Caught Tuna Crudo ($22) This dish was highly recommended, and since I’m a huge fan of crudo, I had to try it. The preparation was unique—topped with sesame brittle that reminded me of Zhoucun baked sesame cakes from Shandong, China. There were also two types of radish, giving it a curious Shandong fusion vibe. Another taste of home! 🐟 🍚 Meyer Lemon Risotto $23 The flavor was reminiscent of a store-bought, frozen risotto from a supermarket chain, with a chicken broth base. 🍔 🍝 Rigatoni & Short Rib ($44) The first main course was pretty average—nothing special, but it did the job of filling us up. 🍝 🐖 Blackened Pork Chops ($38) After one bite, my friend said, “I’ve had this exact pork chop in a fitness meal back home.” Need I say more? 🐖 🍞 Butter Brushed Warm Garlic Cornbread ($6) This was highly recommended on social media, but in reality, the bread was a bit greasy, overly salty, and the butter lacked the proper aroma. Overall, it was just too salty, greasy, and disappointing. Heartbroken over this cornbread. 😔 ❌ We had also ordered shrimp and scallop pasta, but the server forgot it. Since our overall experience was just average, we didn’t bother to have it remade. Afterward, we just went next door and had two servings of sea urchin sushi. Now that’s what I call real food! 🍣 #Philadelphia #PhillyRestaurant #PhillyFoodie #PhillyLife #USA #RestaurantReview #PhillyEats #HiddenGem #FrenchCuisine
