The Cape of Good Hope is located at the boundary between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans. South Africa is one of the southernmost countries in the known continental world.βοΈ After reading books and watching documentaries: The Dutch and British successively colonized South Africa. South Africa is extremely rich in mineral resources, with abundant diamonds and gold mines.βοΈ The slave trade. Apartheid policy and Mandela's equal rights movement.βοΈ South Africa is the most dangerous country in the world, with Johannesburg ranking No. 5.βοΈ After traveling in person: Civilization: South Africa is the most modernized country in Africa, without exception. The population consists of 80% black people, plus 20% white people and people of color. The dominant religion is Christianity, with 80% of the population adhering to itβοΈ The supporting industries include manufacturing, mining, tourism, etc. Security, Sanitation, and Transportation: The coastal city of Cape Town and inland rural areas have good security, while Johannesburg is very bad. The roads and public restrooms in cities and rural areas are generally very clean. The subway system has not yet been developed, and transportation is not very convenient.βοΈ Natural Scenery: There are seas, mountains, canyons, deserts, animals, and plants of all kinds. The Mediterranean climate, with plenty of sunshine and pleasant weather, makes the land rich in produce. Cultural Environment: A multi-racial gathering with 11 official languages, also known as the "Rainbow Nation." White and black cultures complement each other, coexisting with their differences.βοΈ I saw whites who love and yearn for the pure nature. I also met open-minded and civilized black gentlemen. Colonization is a complex and intricate concept that cannot be simply discussed in terms of right or wrong. Being civilized is a historical process that is both helpless and inevitable.βοΈ I saw happiness and contentment, as well as inferiority and pain, in the eyes of black people. I also saw anger and ignorance. In the eyes of white people, I saw happiness and relaxation, pride and contempt, as well as kindness and education. The world is originally intertwined, with civilization and backwardness, strength and weakness, coexisting. Just like the animal kingdom, perhaps a world of interwoven elements is the ultimate world for humanity! The greatest glory in life is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.
