The magical fairy-tale town in South Africa

It is said that this place is the prototype of the Shire in "The Lord of the Rings"! Here, time seems to slow down as if enchanted by the forest. Play🥾: Madonna and Child Falls: It takes only 20 minutes to walk there easily, and the waterfall looks like the Virgin Mary holding a baby, which is incredibly amazing; The Big Tree: Check in at the millennium yellowwood tree that takes eight adults to encircle, and quietly feel the life of the tree. Stay🏠: Away with the Fairies: A very famous open-air bathtub in the area, which can overlook the valley, and sometimes you can even see the starry sky; but we chose to camp here on the first night, and it was really cold at minus four degrees at night🤣 The Cabins: I highly recommend this cozy cabin, surrounded by forests, with a fireplace inside. It's really relaxing and comfortable to sit on the sofa, listening to the sound of burning wood and reading a book about birds. Eat🍽️: 🍷 The Edge Restaurant: Have dinner on the local cliff, suitable for couples; 🍫 The Chocolate Shop: A handmade chocolate shop that has been reported many times in South Africa, but the owner is very chill and opens the door in a Buddhist way. We didn't go on the first day, and we waited for half an hour on the second day, but it's really worth trying👍 ✅ Must bring: Non-slip hiking shoes, warm jackets (big temperature difference in the mountains) ✅ Season: The best climate is from September to November in spring, or you can choose winter to encounter a more dreamy snowy scenery #SouthAfricaTravel #HiddenGems #LordoftheRingsForest #HikingParadise #TravelTips
