The milk tea is a big cup and the tea flavor is quite strong
📍 FCU25-1644 Hillside Ave, Victoria, BC V8P 1A3 It’s a bubble tea shop in the food court of Hillside Shopping Center—they’ve started doing smoothies lately, but I haven’t had a chance to try them yet 😕. The first bubble tea I had in Canada was here, when JJ brought me—their portions are huge, the tea flavor is strong, and you can ask for no ice or no sugar, which fits my taste perfectly! They must get tons of orders ’cause they’re always short on staff—if you order in person, you’ll usually wait a while. But you can call ahead to pre-order, and most of the time you can just pay and grab it when you get there 📞. Oh, and don’t forget to collect points when you pay—every 10 drinks get you a free one! 🎉 ✅ Bubble Milk Tea 💰6.99 The pearls are cooked in brown sugar—chewy, just the right texture, soft and glutinous 🍬. The brown sugar syrup coating them melts into the tea, so even if you get it with no added sugar, it’s still pretty sweet. They give loads of pearls too—enough to fill you up. I usually only order this if I’ve gone a whole day without eating! 🧋 ✅ Grass Jelly Milk Tea 💰6.99 This is my go-to if I’m ordering for myself—it’s not as filling as the bubble version 😌. The grass jelly has a faint herbal taste, though maybe that’s just me imagining it! It’s slightly sweet, but not enough to sweeten the whole drink—if you get it with no sugar and no ice, you’ll taste the tea’s natural bitterness. Probably not for anyone who likes super sweet bubble tea. #Canada #CanadaFood #VancouverIsland #VancouverDayTrip #Victoria #Foodie #WeeklyFoodCheckIn #LifeSnippets #FoodTour #MyDailyLife #WhatInternationalStudentsEat #RestaurantRecommendation #HiddenGemRestaurant #GlobalFoodSquad
