The North-of-Boston Coastal Highway Feels Like a Movie .๐ โผ๏ธ
๐ Just 1.5 hours north of Boston via the highway lies this stunning coastal routeโa branch of US-1 known as US-1A ๐คฉ๐บ๐ธ. Itโs an absolutely breathtaking drive, especially in summer, perfect for convertibles ๐๐จ or motorcycles ๐๏ธ! With the endless ocean views and the sound of waves crashing, itโs the perfect way to say goodbye to the season ๐๐. ๐ฅ Actually, I first drove this route maybe a year or two ago in my old CRV ๐งก, and even then I was like: โWOW, this is incredible!โ This past mid-August, I had the chance to drive it againโmore intentionally this timeโand it totally blew me awayโฆ again! ๐ธโจ ๐ I drove all the way north to the charming seaport city of Portsmouth, New Hampshire ๐๏ธโต. HIGHLY recommend a visit! Itโs a famous summer retreat โ๏ธ๐, and in winter it transforms into a magical Christmas town ๐โ๏ธ. ๐ Once in Portsmouth, I went hunting for the best coastal roads ๐บ๏ธ๐. I cruised along New Castle Ave, Portsmouth Ave, and Main St, stopping at little islands and exploring New Castleโthe largest of them ๐๏ธ๐. Then I took Wentworth Rd to Sagamore Ave, merged onto the overlapping section of US-1A and Pioneer Rd, and finally entered the official US-1A coastal stretch that runs from New Hampshire down into Massachusetts ๐๐. It was nostalgic, beautiful, and every bit as epic as I remembered! ๐โค๏ธ If you love coastal drives, New England charm, and that perfect golden-hour lightโthis route is for you! ๐โจ #USA#Portsmouth#CoastalDrive #NewHampshire #US1A #PortsmouthNH #NewEnglandRoadTrip #SummerDrives
