🍡 The Only Matcha I Can't Live Without in NYC 🍡

🌿 I'm a firm believer that you don't have to be a coffee person OR a tea person, but if I had to choose, I'd usually pick coffee. This matcha, however, would be sorely missed if that hypothetical ever came true! πŸ“ PPL is the spot I've been visiting for their matcha, and it's now my favorite place for iced almond matcha. πŸ₯€ 11/10: Iced Almond Matcha Made with matcha imported from Japan, sourced from a friend of the owner. You can't even buy it (I tried), but I wish you could. It's fresh, earthy, and lightly sweet with no unnecessary bitterness or dull flavor. It pairs beautifully with almond milk and makes a drink that is both luxurious and refreshing. I find it gives me a great little boost of smooth energy, too! πŸ“ About PPL: Drinks take a little bit of time, so I wouldn't stop here in a rush. If people are in front of you, you may end up waiting for 5-10 minutes. That being said, the wait is because they're carefully crafting your drink! They prepare the tea lattes here with a LOT of care, and you can taste it! The drink does come out to $7-8 depending on how you tip, which is certainly a high-end price point. Of all the matcha I've tried in the area, it is the most wonderful and worth it! I'd gladly spend the $2-3 markup here. The coffee is definitely good, don't get me wrong! Just not as much of a wow as the tea lattes are. I'd love to try more as they also offer Hojicha and Sencha! πŸ“Έ I highly recommend making a pit stop at PPL next time you're in the neighborhood! It's the perfect drink to put a little pep in your step for a work session, shopping trip, or catch up with a friend. #nycfoodreview #nycfoodguide #matchamoments #matchaobsessed #nyccafe #nyclifestyle #matcha
