This was a unique, pre-pandemic hallmark of the Halekulani, and it was sadly "paused" for a while. When I visited in 2013, I even asked the staff, "Will it ever come back?" I was thrilled to discover on this recent trip that it has been resurrected! While the guest list is now more curated and limited, the essence remains. The venue, the beautiful Hau Terrace, is as lovely as ever, but the party itself feels even more refined and exclusive.✨ However, the true greatness of the Halekulani lies in the fact that even if you don't partake in any special events, the mere act of being there provides an unparalleled feeling. It's a sanctuary of calm luxury and impeccable security that is utterly irreplaceable. Both the Kahala Hotel in Okinawa and the Halekulani are excellent, but the serene luxury and profound sense of safety afforded by the Halekulani's scale and presence in Waikiki is something you simply can't find anywhere else.
