The Perfect Atmosphere for a Valentine’s Day Date 🕯
📍 Faros Holborn 🧾 Average spend £75 (including drinks) Absolutely love restaurants that put fresh-cut flowers on the table! The decor is on the darker side, creating a romantic atmosphere in the evening. The lighting is just right, with candles adding a touch of warmth. The service is also top-notch. 🥩 Starter Octopus Carpaccio £18.5 The octopus has a sesame-infused olive oil flavor, and the dish has a refreshing aroma. The octopus is sliced thin, marinated, tender, and full of seafood flavor. Quite nice. Beef Carpaccio £18.9 Served with greens and cheese, offering a multi-layered taste. No raw meat fishy ness after adding lemon juice. The beef is thinly sliced, chewy, and delicious. 🍽️ Main Risotto Mare £25.9 Seafood risotto with a tomato base, seasoned with a hint of black pepper. Cheese is served in a box for you to sprinkle as much as you like. The flavor is rich and not at all cloying. Beef Ragu £29.9 A decent tomato beef pasta with large chunks of beef. Cheese is also self-served; it tastes better with more cheese. The only downside was a hair in the dish… But the waiter noticed immediately as I pulled it out and replaced it with a new plate. The kitchen staff also came out to apologize during the wait. The attitude was very good. 🍸 Pornstar Martini £14 Served as a non-alcoholic version with a small shot of pure martini to pour in. You can taste the non-alcoholic version first; it’s quite pleasant, sweet and tangy. After pouring in the martini, it’s still very drinkable, not too alcoholic and not too strong. Negroni £14 A strong herbal and bitter liquor flavor, very much dependent on personal preference. The ice wasn’t used well, making it a bit too sweet. Just okay.
