The scenery along this mountain road is absolutely stunning

In South Africa, I captured some of the most stunning photos of my life. The beauty of the landscapes is truly breathtaking—far more impressive than what the camera can capture! 👮‍♂️ Apart from occasional concerns about safety, this land truly deserves to be explored thoroughly. If you want to see the ocean, Cape Town is the place to go. But if you're looking to unwind, heal, and get close to nature, I highly recommend a trip to the Drakensberg Mountains. The diverse and spectacular terrain is truly unique. Most hotels are nestled within the scenery, with mountains visible right outside your window. You can go hiking, horseback riding, golfing, or mountain climbing—each activity offers a different way to connect with the serene and healing natural environment. Several of the well-established hotels are always fully booked, both in peak and off-peak seasons, so I suggest booking well in advance. Hotel prices in South Africa generally range from R1500 to R5000 (approximately RMB 600–2000), and they rarely disappoint. In fact, there are often pleasant surprises! The cuisine in the mountains wasn't quite to my taste, but some accommodations offer kitchen facilities, so you can bring your own ingredients and cook your meals. I always bring instant noodles on my trips! 🏠 Hotels worth considering: aha ALPINE Health Resort Drakensberg Sun Champagne Castle Hotel Little Switzerland ROUTE: Durban → Drakensberg → Golden Highland Gate → Clarens → Johannesburg The terrain along the way is rich and unique. On the way back from Drakensberg to Johannesburg, we passed through the town of Clarens. The town is clean and quiet, filled with autumn colors that make you slow down and relax. It also seems quite safe, making it a perfect place to stop and unwind. Along the way, we even encountered vehicles that had driven all the way from Europe, parked at campsites. ⛺️ I definitely want to try camping next time, to watch the sunrise and sunset, hike, and sleep under the stars. The campsites here are clean and comfortable, and they are definitely worth experiencing. #SouthAfrica #ExpatLife #Durban #Johannesburg #Travel #RoadTripScenery #RoadTrip #BeautifulScenery #GlobalTravel #Hiking #MeasuringTheWorldOnFoot
