The Solitary Traveler's Cultural Reflection | Musings from Zurich

Spent four hours wandering through the Kunsthaus Zürich, essentially revisiting European history from the beginning. One exhibition theme was particularly intriguing. 🎨 It explored the museum's own historical issues: The largest source of funding and collection donations for the museum came from the arms dealer Buhrle, who profited from World War II. Most of the museum's collections were also seized from Jewish people. The question posed to the audience was, "How should we handle the donations from the Buhrle family?" I wrote in the suggestion box, "Make the museum free to educate the next generation of everyone." 🖋️ After leaving the museum, I headed to the Cabaret Voltaire, the birthplace of Dadaism, for a drink. Looking at the various-sized tables, I thought about how a place where people can regularly relax and gather, even if just for a drink or a game, can naturally foster progressive ideas. It's a shame that such gatherings are becoming increasingly difficult to achieve anywhere nowadays. 🥂 The exhibition at the museum also featured a "child attention test" experiment from last century, aimed at studying how to create content that holds people's attention the longest. We've all experienced how these findings are applied today. 🤔 #ArtTravel #OffTheBeatenPath #Switzerland
