The super fun Christmas market in the South of France!! 🎄
This is the most interesting Christmas market I’ve ever been to! It’s in Aix-en-Provence! I had low expectations at the start because I’ve visited many Christmas markets that were quite dull, with the same old products and inflated prices. But this one was particularly fun! There were so many festive specialties and local goods, and I learned about some unique Christmas traditions. 1️⃣ Southern French lavender essential oil, lavender sachets, soap, honey 2️⃣ Truffles, porcini mushrooms, morels, mustard, and truffle-infused mustard 3️⃣ Navette, a hard little biscuit that tastes a bit like Wangzai small buns 4️⃣ Pain d’épice spice cake, a French Christmas specialty 5️⃣ Corsican sausage 6️⃣ Wheat seeds, a Christmas tradition in Provence involves planting wheat seeds in December 7️⃣ Glass crafts 8️⃣ Incense and other Asian spice products like Thai herbal balm 9️⃣ Duck liver and foie gras 🔟 A little stall with a magician performing At the end, I even encountered acrobatic performances! Besides that, there were amusement rides like a merry-go-round, cotton candy (barbe de papa Noël)… I had already lost my enchantment with Christmas markets and just thought I’d drop by for some fun, but it was such a pleasant surprise! Definitely worth a visit! #FrenchDailyLife #FrenchChristmasMarket #SouthernFranceHoliday #EuropeanChristmasMarket #HowToCelebrateChristmas #FrenchChristmas #GreatChristmasMarket #LifeInFrance
