What a wonderful surprise! Coming from the East Coast, we didnβt have high expectations for birdwatching near Las Vegas β but we were so wrong! First off, Dave was an incredible guide β knowledgeable, experienced, and above all, he went above and beyond to patiently teach us about the diverse bird species in the area π§ π. Weβve been on several guided birding tours before, but Dave is hands down the best of them all. Not only does he spot birds by sight and sound, but he seems to have an almost intuitive sense of where to find them πβ¨. A typical birding tour might spot 20β30 species β but with Dave, we saw over 60 different species! And not just the common ones. He showed us an amazing mix of local birds (like roadrunners and quails), waterfowl (all kinds of ducks), raptors, migratory birds, and even some rare finds π¦ π¦π¦. Patient, humorous, and deeply knowledgeable β Dave truly made the experience both educational and fun ππ.
