📍 II Ricettario, Florence 🍅This place is not just the best Italian restaurant in Florence—it's the ultimate Italian dining experience of the entire trip to Italy! 🍅Grilled Steak and Eggplant: How could this not be delicious with such a great presentation! The beef is very tender with an unbeatable texture. The idea of making a sandwich with the beef, bread, and a slice of eggplant is brilliant and so satisfying! Although there are a few chewy sinewy parts in the beef, it doesn't affect the overall deliciousness at all. 🍅Lasagna: Layer upon layer of cheese and pasta, with the cheese stretching delightfully. The meat sauce is incredibly delicious, to the point where you want to dip your bread in it and lick the plate clean! 🍄Meat Sauce Ravioli: The filling is a mix of cheese and mashed potatoes, which gives a surprisingly delightful texture. The tomato and meat sauce has a similar flavor to the lasagna, but it's just as delicious! Before the main dishes were served, we were brought bread and a dish with olive oil. It seems like a common practice to dip the bread in salt and olive oil, but I preferred using it to dip into the meat sauce. The small restaurant is tucked away in an alley. The space is quite cozy, and the owner is very warm and welcoming! However, the handwritten menu is a bit hard to decipher (we even had trouble understanding the handwritten WiFi password, so the owner had to enter it for us).
