Palm Springs truly lives up to its reputation as a tourist destination – it blends natural beauty and urban charm perfectly, and all the attractions are conveniently close. Here are my top recommended spots: 🌵 Joshua Tree National Park Best visited around 5 PM – it's seriously hot during the day! ☀️ On our way, we passed by Transmission by Daniel Popper, an art installation that attracts tons of visitors. 📸 The park is named after the unique Joshua trees (which look a bit like cacti). There are several overlooks offering panoramic views, and it’s also a great spot for stargazing. 🌌 Even at 9 or 10 PM, people were still arriving to enjoy the night views. ⛰️ Indian Canyons Multiple trails to choose from – some follow streams, some lead to small waterfalls, and others are longer routes perfect for hiking enthusiasts. 🥾 🎫 Entrance: $12 per vehicle (pets not allowed). 🚠 Palm Springs Aerial Tramway One of the world’s largest rotating tram cars! Enjoy 360-degree views of the entire valley. 🏜️ At the top, you can explore a small natural history museum, dine at the restaurant, or shop for souvenirs. 🎁 It’s much cooler up there – bring a jacket! 🧥 🚪 The Pink Door A gorgeous modernist mansion – sometimes open for tours, but we just snapped photos outside. The soft pink exterior is so photogenic! 💖 On the way, we even spotted a rare blue Bank of America building – so unusual! 🏦 🌆 Downtown Palm Springs Home to the famous Marilyn Monroe statue, plus lots of cute shops and clean streets perfect for a relaxing stroll. 🛍️ Don’t miss the Hawaiian-style shaved ice – it’s delicious! 🍧 🦩 JW Marriott Flamingos, ducks, and swans roam freely in the hotel’s waterfront area. Check-in is even done by boat! 🚣 The resort has tons of amenities – you’ll never get bored. 🏨 Accommodation Tip: Highly recommend staying at a resort-style hotel! ⛱️ Many offer spas, pools, hot springs, massages, and more – you could easily spend a whole day just enjoying the hotel. We brought our dog and stayed at a pet-friendly resort – 10/10 for both service and atmosphere! 🐾 Their brunch was amazing too 🍓🥯🫐🍊 – but it closes at noon, so wake up early one day to enjoy it. Follow it up with some poolside sunbathing… pure bliss! ☀️ Took me two days to write this, and I feel like I’ve covered a lot – though there’s still more to share (like nearby casinos and spas).
