There’s Actually an Authentic Xinjiang Restaurant in Philly!
This Xinjiang spot that opened earlier this year deserves another shoutout! 📍 Located in Northeast Philly, you’re greeted by familiar Xinjiang music as soon as you walk in—full of exotic charm. The interior is simple but clean, and the owner is super warm and welcoming ❤️. 🥢 Cold Bean Jelly (Liangfen) Bean jelly topped with chickpea-like garnishes, tangy and refreshing with shredded cucumber—perfect appetizer. 🍜 Homestyle Lagman The star of the meal! The noodles are clearly hand-pulled—chewy and bouncy. Stir-fried with bell peppers and marinated beef, lightly spicy and seriously addictive—wanted another bowl right after. 🥟 Beef Dumplings Small but packed with filling. Thin skin, and as soon as you bite in, the rich cumin beef aroma fills your senses—kids loved it too. 🐔 Big Plate Chicken (Xinjiang Da Pan Ji) The moment this arrived with glistening red oil over chicken and potatoes, I knew it was legit! Chicken tender and flavorful, potatoes soft and savory, served with a side of hand-cut noodles—impossible to stop eating. 🍇 Homemade Berry Juice A bit sweet at first, but it grows on you—a refreshing, almost addictive sweetness. 🍝 Peal Noodle (Ding Ding Mian) A great option if you don’t want spicy! Looks bright red but isn’t spicy at all. The beef is tender and well-seasoned, safe for kids too. 📍 Uyghur Lagman House #FoodieAdventures #Philly #PhillyFood #NortheastPhilly #XinjiangCuisine #PhillyXinjiang
