This 29-Year-Old Italian Institution Lives Up To Its Reputation!
Stepping into this Italian restaurant that's been around since 1996... Right on South Yarra's main street, Melbourne's very own "Little Europe" The warm "Ciao!" greeting, sunlight streaming in, Italian street scenes projected on walls, authentic Italian music playing, and the waiter's "Buon appetito!" before serving - every detail transports you straight to a cozy trattoria in Italy! 🍴 Starters The Arancini with pumpkin and rosemary filling had the perfect cheese pull - rich but not overwhelming The Wagyu Carpaccio arrived with intoxicating truffle aroma Surprisingly delicious with dry Parmesan flakes 🧀 and olive oil 🥩 Mains The day's Rib Eye special (medium rare, of course) disappeared fastest from our table of three Classic Italian preparation kept it juicy, with mushroom sauce adding depth (Those roasted baby potatoes were divine too!) 🍝 Linguine Alla Marinara The seafood pasta won over my Chinese palate Generous seafood portions in wine-tomato sauce Pro tip: add their chili oil! Not spicy but incredibly fragrant! 🍚 Risotto Allo Zafferano Saffron seafood risotto cooked to perfection Seafood and rice melded beautifully Asparagus added refreshing contrast 💰 Don't want à la carte? Their $49pp express lunch is great value No exaggeration... This is one Italian restaurant worth revisiting again and again! 🇮🇹 Cosi Bar Ristorante South Yarra 📍 68 Toorak Rd, South Yarra VIC 3141 #MelbourneEats #ItalianFood #MelbourneFoodie #HiddenGems #DateNightSpot #FoodieAdventures
