This Cliffside Town in Italy Is Absolutely Stunning!
π With its gradient-colored jelly-like sea, colorful houses perched on cliffs, and winding stairways, Positano is the most beautiful town on the Amalfi Coast in Southern Italy. This might just be my second favorite town that Iβve visited so far! π Positano is small enough to explore in half a day. We spent two days here, and our daily routine was basically to stroll around for an hour, then relax at the hotel for two hours, enjoying the lazy and carefree vibes. π· Here are a few beautiful spots to share: A fantastic viewpoint overlooking the town located at via cristoforo colombo 175. The town's bus station, which was a filming location for the movie Under the Tuscan Sun. The blue hour after sunset is especially beautiful! πΆββοΈ Ceramica Assunta is a charming ceramics shop with a lovely corner, and there's a cute mirror outside perfect for selfies! π Transportation: From Rome, take a train directly to Naples, then transfer to another train to Sorrento. From Sorrento to Positano, you can take a boat or a bus; I recommend the boat as the bus route has winding roads that arenβt friendly for those who get motion sickness. πΊ Most hotels are perched on the cliffs, so you'll need to walk several hundred steps from the dock to reach them. If you have luggage, remember to use the luggage transport service at the dock. You can book this service on the boat for β¬10 per bag; if you book after disembarking, it will cost you β¬15 per bag. ποΈ Accommodation: Staying in Positano can be quite expensive, especially for rooms with a view, but the experience is worth it. If your budget allows, definitely stay for a night or two. The famous Mermaid Hotel starts at five figures per night, which I couldn't justify, so I opted for a nearby alternative that also had a beautiful view. #SlowTravel #TravelSnapshots #Italy #TravelPhotography #SouthernItaly #AmalfiCoast
