This is the most authentic thing you can do North Indian cuisine

📍 1701 Douglas St #6, Victoria, BC V8W 0C1 It’s in Hudson Public Market in Victoria Downtown, sharing a small space with a few other shops—looks a bit simple. All the seats in the market are first-come, first-served, which is handy. They serve North Indian food, and my North Indian classmates say it’s the most authentic around. You order at the counter, and the staff are friendly, but the serving speed is totally random—sometimes fast, sometimes super slow, especially if there are lots of takeout orders. We got unlucky this time—waited ages! 😼💹 ❌ Kerala Pepper Beef Roast 💰19 Indian-style roasted beef—I ordered this last time, so I knew it’d be salty. But I’d spent ages tidying at home and making mooncakes before going, so I was craving something bold, so I popped by again. It’s only 6oz of beef, and even I thought the portion was tiny—barely a few bites, and there wasn’t much onion either. The flavor? Just salty—salty, spicy, and numbing, with obvious black pepper bits. I chugged four full glasses of water with this little plate. Not worth it. đŸ„© 🆗 Tender Coconut Creme Caramel 💰12 Technically a coconut cream caramel custard, but it’s just caramel pudding, really. It’s small, with a sprinkle of coconut flakes and coconut sugar on top. Tastes like regular caramel pudding—no way it’s worth $12! I could get six at Costco for that, and they’d even throw in six cups. So not worth it. 😒 #VictoriaIndianFood #IndianFood #IndianCuisine #Canada #CanadaFood #VancouverIsland #Victoria #Foodie
