This is the most beautiful sea I’ve seen in a while
ferry ride! 🌊 The moment sunlight spilled over the ocean and I pressed the shutter, everything felt perfect. 😍 No camera can fully capture the true colors though—the real view is a slightly greenish light blue, especially near the shore. That color is just so healing. 💚 I also wanted to share some tips for visiting North Stradbroke Island since I did a lot of research beforehand, but still felt a bit lost once I arrived. Hope this helps future travelers! 🏝️ Make sure to leave plenty of time to get to the port (Sealink North Stradbroke Island). If you’re coming from Brisbane, you can take the train from South Brisbane, Southbank, or Boggo Road Station to Cleveland. We didn’t plan enough time and missed the free shuttle bus (Stradbroke Flyer—no need to wait for the 271/274, same stop) by just a few minutes, which meant waiting over an hour for the next ferry! ⛴️ The ferry arrives at Dunwich. After getting off, turn right to find the bus stop. Take bus 880 and buy a $1 all-day pass from the driver (card accepted). 🚌 Ride for about 40 minutes to the last stop (Gorge Walk—don’t get off at Point Lookout, that’s not it!). Once you arrive, if you’re unsure how to get to the coastal walk or back to the bus, just ask the driver—there are no signs on the island! 🚶♀️ The walk loops along the coastline and eventually leads back to the bus stop, so no need to backtrack. The full loop takes about 40 minutes to 1 hour at a relaxed pace (with photos!), or 20 minutes if you rush. #MyDailyLife #StudyAbroadDiary #StudyInUSA #PlogLife #CampusLife #TravelUSA #StudyAbroad
