This Is the Right Way to Experience New Orleans! 🦪

I’ve been back in New York for almost a week now… If I don’t write this down soon, I’m afraid I’ll forget how I felt in the moment! Before the trip, my partner excitedly said they’d found some great recommendations, but once we got there, we realized there weren’t many detailed guides—most were pretty brief. šŸ˜… We stayed in the French Quarter and, unsurprisingly, fell into a few tourist traps… But getting straight to the point: if you love oysters and are all about "value for money" like I am, make sure you go on a Wednesday between 5 PM and 9 PM! šŸ•”āœØ That’s when you’ll want to visit 怐Sidecar Patio & Oyster Bar怑. Yes, it has to be Wednesday! Because that’s the only day they have their special oyster deal. 🦪 Their menu has plenty of options, but the real star is the 怐Wednesday Special怑. This deal includes 6 huge Louisiana-grown oysters, plus 3 additional varieties chosen by the chef—2 of each kind. So that’s 12 oysters in total, all for around $15.99! šŸŽ‰ My partner and I ordered two sets the first time. That meant two big platters with 12 local LA oysters plus 6 different types of chef’s selections—12 more in total! But honestly, they have way more oyster varieties than just those. You’ll have to visit to discover them all yourself! šŸ” The oysters I usually get on sale at Whole Foods every Friday don’t even compare. These were plump, fresh, and had zero fishy taste—just pure sweetness or a clean, briny flavor. And at this price, shucked and served with sauce? You really can’t ask for more! šŸ™Œ The only downside was that they don’t serve soup. For hot food, your options are pretty much limited to fried chicken and other fried items. Plus, with their hours from 5 PM to 9 PM, it didn’take long for the evening breeze to pick up. Sitting there eating cold oysters, we started feeling chilly between rounds. Even now, I still wish I’d eaten more—what a shame! šŸŒ¬ļøšŸ˜… Oh, and one more thing—the ambiance is lovely too! From the outside, it looks like a simple street-side spot, but step inside and it’s a whole vibe. Super Instagram-worthy! šŸ“øšŸ’š If I ever get to visit New Orleans again, I’m definitely going back for a few more plates of oysters! ✨✨✨ Name: Sidecar Patio & Oyster Bar Address: 1114 Constance St, New Orleans, LA 70130 Have you ever discovered a perfect mid-week food deal while traveling?
