This must be the wildest restaurant in all of Toronto
A wild game restaurant on the Michelin list, not quite what I imagined for wild game. This place uses ingredients that are all hunted: Wild boar š, venison š¦, duck š¦ āļøAppetizerāļø Duck heart yakitori was a bit fishy and not very tasty. Duck foie gras was paired with apple and pound cake at the bottom. I found it a bit rich, but my friend loved it. Scallop curdo š was absolutely delicious! The scallops were fresh and paired with crispy fried potato chips, very satisfying. āļøMaināļø Wild boar cavatelli, a wild boar and tomato pasta. This might be the first time Iāve had pasta with more meat than pasta. I recommend sharing one portion between two people because itās incredibly filling! Venison Rack, my first time trying venison š¦. The texture is somewhere between beef and duck, medium rare in the middle is very tender, but the meat on the sides is a bit tough on the teeth. BC halibut š, do not order! At first, I thought it was a piece of cheese, but it turns out they minced the fish and shaped it like a brick, and it was incredibly hard to eat. Itās true, donāt order fish at a hunterās restaurant⦠Personally, I think the best dishes are the ones featuring wild game. Their portions are quite large for a Western restaurant, and the flavors are quite intense. Remember to ask the waiter to go easy on the salt. Itās worth a try because there are not many places that serve venison. #TorontoWesternCuisine #TorontoWeirdRestaurants #ExoticFood #DateNight #TorontoEatsAndDrinks #FoodMap #MichelinRecommended #2023MichelinGuide #Finalist #Delicious #FineDinning #WeekendCheckIn #SenseOfCeremony #Ambiance #BirthdayRestaurant #TorontoRestaurantExploring
