This newly opened Japanese restaurant in London
It is a paradise for sashimi lovers! π£ π° Average Cost: Β£50-70 per person (without drinks, even big eaters can be satisfied) π Location: 7/10 Near Notting Hill, a 20-minute subway ride from Paddington Station, a 30-minute walk, and a 40-minute subway ride from the city center. πΊοΈ π Ambiance: 6.5/10 The restaurant features a rustic wooden decor with an omakase-style open kitchen. However, the space is quite small, with only 12 seats, six of which face the floor-to-ceiling windows. At noon, the sunlight can be quite intense, and there are no curtains. The atmosphere might be better at night. π π£ Food Quality: 9/10 The quality of the sashimi is exceptional. The fatty tuna belly is incredibly rich, with the fat practically dancing on your palate. The lobster and scallops are also very fresh and sweet, especially the lobster, which I think is the best dishβitβs so bouncy! The eel is not a pre-made product; the teriyaki sauce is just right, neither too sweet nor too salty. However, there are some drawbacks. The rice in the nigiri is undercooked, lacking the chewy texture and being a bit loose. The sushi soy sauce is also very salty and unseasoned, so be careful when dipping, or it might overpower the sashimi. π£ π©π»βπ³ Service: 6.5/10 (includes a 12.5% service charge) The owner is quite welcoming, but the service during the meal is almost non-existent. The waitstaff mechanically serve the dishes, and there are no hot towels or other pre-meal courtesies. π βοΈ Overall: 7.5/10 The restaurant is currently in a trial operation phase with a daily updated menu. Given the high quality of the ingredients and the reasonable prices compared to other Japanese restaurants, itβs a must-try for sashimi lovers who appreciate the natural flavors of the food. π #LondonFood #LondonJapaneseCuisine
