๐ Ed Fernandez I donโt usually come to Chula Vista for no reason, but this time, while picking up an order from the IKEA warehouse, I made a special trip to try this locally famous birria taco spot. It totally lives up to the hype, friends! The biggest difference between birria tacos and others is the incredibly tender, slow-cooked beef soaked in a rich, flavorful broth. The taco is juicy and satisfying, with a thick, soft corn tortilla that holds all the delicious juices perfectlyโeach bite is a taste sensation! ๐๐ฅ Quesataco Extremo ๐๐๐๐๐ The best taco Iโve ever had in my life!!! Just go try itโdonโt even worry about me! This one is the absolute winner. The meat is super tender, piled high, and the flavor is outrageously good. Not a single chew is wasted! ๐๐ Taco Birria ๐๐๐ Itโs actually really good, butโฆ no comparison, noไผคๅฎณ. Next to the Extremo, this basic version pales a bit. But for $3.75, you really canโt go wrong! Quesataco Hecho a Mano (Homemade) ๐๐๐ This one has a crispy tortillaโprobably fried. If you like crunchy shells, order this! The meat flavor is similar to the Taco Birria. 1/2 Order Birria con Nervio ๐๐๐๐ โNervioโ likely means beef tendon. This is a bowl of stewed beef with tendon, served with 4 tortillas so you can DIY your tacos. The meat is incredibly fragrant and fall-apart tender, though eating it alone doesnโt do it justice. This portion could easily use two more tortillas! The only slight letdown: the tendon was stewed until too soft, losing its classic chewy texture. Atole ๐๐๐๐๐ A traditional Mexican drink made from corn. The flavor changes dailyโwe got guava! So delicious!! Sweet, gentle, and wonderfully aromatic. ๐ฅค๐ฝ Everyone, go give it a try.
