This Vancouver French restaurant deserves a solid hundred visits

This is my favorite French meal in Vancouver. Even after a change in chef, the quality is still top-notch, with that down-to-earth bistro vibe. It’s true that for human food, you still have to drive two hours to the next Vancouver. 😂 Fraser Valley Duck Breast - This main course comes with foie gras that melts in the mouth, 🥕 puree with a slight tang, paired with the foie gras it’s satisfying without being greasy. The duck breast is cooked to perfection, tender and with a crispy skin, complemented by a red wine sauce, it’s quite flavorsome. 🦆 20 oz Côte de Boeuf - The ribeye, cooked medium rare, is tender and juicy, with abundant fat that’s too delicious to chew on. The black truffle sauce is the highlight, amazing with both steak and fries. 🥩 Escargot de Bourgogne - The French snails are also a delight, springy and paired with parsley garlic butter, served with freshly baked baguette, it’s so aromatic, fresh, and rich, it could make even the soles of shoes taste good. 🐌 Steak Tartare (Au Boeuf Mode) - The beef tartare tastes fresh, but it’s a bit ordinary compared to the previous dishes. 🍽️ For dessert, the ones we ordered were not as good as the ones given for free. We ordered a dark chocolate tart with sorbet and an apple tart, which were standard French sweets, but the lychee sorbet given for free was quite stunning, with a strong lychee fragrance, a perfect balance of sweet and tangy, and very refreshing. The two pieces of dark chocolate given after paying were also very rich. Let’s just say, don’t waste money on desserts, happily enjoy the free ones. These, plus two drinks, came to less than $280, which isn’t cheap, but for this quality, it’s a thousand times better than Seattle. Compared to the food desert where even a hot pot can easily exceed$200, this place is really a steal! #VancouverFood #VancouverFrenchCuisine #VancouverRestaurants #VancouverRestaurantRecommendations #VancouverSteak #VancouverFoodExploration #VancouverFoodieShares #VancouverFoodPromotion
