Three days and two nights in the Gold Coast

No rushed "special forces" itinerary here—just (plenty of sleep). Each day’s schedule is simply: wake up + wander + watch the sea. So chill. 🎫 Flights 🛫 7:10-8:30 🛬 20:50-22:15 Round trip for 800 RMB with JetStar (no baggage allowance). Direct flight from Sydney, 1.5 hours. 🏠 Hotel voco Gold Coast, an IHG Hotel A friend stayed here before! Opposite Q1, with a station right downstairs—super convenient for getting around. Ocean-view rooms cost around 400 RMB per person per night. The decor is brand new, highly recommended. ⛰️ Itinerary Day 1 8:10 Arrive at Gold Coast Airport → Take bus 700 and transfer to the tram to Surfers Paradise Station → Drop luggage at the hotel → Skypoint buffet breakfast → 11:30 Return to the hotel for a nap (the sun is too harsh at this time, making activities unpleasant) → 14:30 Head out → Wander on Cavill Avenue (lots of small shops here, great for browsing or grabbing snacks) → 15:30 Head to Mick Schamburg Park Lookout to watch the sunset (must-go! Incredibly beautiful) → Miami Marketta night market → Dinner at You Japanese (delicious, though portions are small). Day 2 9:30 Parasailing (perfect timing, not too sunny) → Return to the hotel for a nap → 14:00 Stroll along Board Beach → 16:30 Arrive near Surfers Paradise North tram station (just in time for sunset; walking along the coast, taking photos, and listening to music feels amazing) → 17:30 Dinner near Southport (Team Tea milk tea + Itaewon Korean food, both delicious) → Drinks at Finn McCool Bar → Back to the hotel to sleep. Day 3 Check out by 12:00 → 14:00 Koala afternoon tea at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (highly recommended! 99 AUD includes entry, a photo, and 1 hour of close interaction with koalas—you can cuddle them more) → Explore the sanctuary → Take the bus to the airport. Tips: 💡 All bookings were made 1-2 days before departure. Water activities can also be booked on-site, with package discounts available. 💡 Tea Team’s osmanthus oolong milk tea is delicious—a rare find abroad, definitely try it. 💡 If you have energy, fit SeaWorld into Day 2. It’s opposite Southport—visiting in the afternoon and staying for dinner works well. 💡 Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is close to the airport, so it’s best to schedule it on your departure day to avoid backtracking. Book an earlier return flight, as the sanctuary closes around 4 pm with little left to do afterward. #EvidenceOfHumanObsessionWithSummer #GoldCoast #GoldCoastGuide #Travel #Australia #AustraliaTravel #GoldCoastTravel #GoldCoastFood
