Today we went to check in at this seafood restaurant in Dayton 🦞
I’ve long seen this seafood restaurant hidden in downtown Dayton on social media—its comment section is full of real photos of fresh seafood that made my mouth water for ages 🥹. Finally, I made a plan to go there with my best friend on the weekend! As soon as I pushed open the glass door, I smelled a faint fresh sea scent. The warm yellow lights made the wooden tables and chairs especially cozy, and there were various fishing boat models hanging on the walls, which fully enhanced the atmosphere~✨ When I walked to the seafood counter, my eyes lit up even more! 👀 The Boston lobsters, bigger than my palm, were "waving their claws" in the tank 🦞; the plump mussels were tightly closed 🐚; the fresh salmon slices showed a pink and tender luster 🍣. Even the staff were super enthusiastic, taking the initiative to introduce the day’s specialties and saying that the oysters had just arrived that morning—so we definitely had to order them! 📝 It didn’t take long after ordering for the dishes to be served~🚀 As soon as the signature garlic-steamed oysters were brought to the table, the aroma of garlic mixed with the sweetness of the oyster meat rushed into my nose. I scooped up the whole oyster with a spoon and put it in my mouth. The oyster meat was so tender that it melted as soon as I took a sip. The salty aroma of garlic didn’t overwhelm the freshness of the seafood at all, and I even couldn’t help drinking up the soup! 🦪 We also ordered crab meat pasta—every strand of noodles was coated with rich creamy crab meat sauce. When I took a bite, I could taste the distinct crab meat pieces, which was super comforting 😌. My best friend kept saying "it’s worth coming here" while eating. I must loudly recommend it to friends in Dayton—if you love seafood, you really can go for it! #LoudlyRecommendLocalFood 👍 But to be honest, the stir-fried rice noodles with beef I ordered this time was a bit disappointing 😅. I don’t know if the rice noodles were cooked for too long, but they clumped together into lumps and couldn’t be stirred apart with chopsticks 🥢. The beef slices inside were thin and tough, making it a bit hard to chew. The most important thing was that it didn’t have the characteristic wok hei that Cantonese-style stir-fried rice noodles should have, and the sauce was too light. I put it down after taking two bites 🙅♀️. Fortunately, the other seafood dishes were really great, and the overall dining experience was still very happy~😊 Next time I come, I plan to try their lobster pasta and grilled squid 🦑. As for the stir-fried rice noodles with beef, I will definitely avoid it! ❌ #NorthAmericanLife #AmericanLife #AmericanFood
