Tokyo | Discovered Many Hidden Gems on Ueno Citywalk

For our first stop in Tokyo, we chose Ueno and set a few destinations without rushing the itinerary, focusing on a leisurely citywalk. 🚢 Route: Nezu Park - Yanaka Ginza - Nippori - Ueno Park πŸ“ Nezu Shrine: You can see a torii gate β›© in Tokyo too! Nezu Shrine has a long history and a tranquil atmosphere, making it a relatively lesser-known spot with few visitors. There's a red torii corridor ⛩️, which is quite narrow, only allowing one person to pass at a time. On sunny days, the sunlight filtering through the gaps in the torii is very beautiful, and you can take plenty of photos here. After leaving the shrine, we walked to Yanaka Ginza, enjoying Tokyo's streets along the way, taking photos as we went. There were many restaurants and snack shops along the road. For lunch, we randomly chose a place with good reviews on Google Maps, and the owner was super cute and chatted with us using translation software πŸ˜„ The dining experience was excellent. We also tried a taiyaki from a shop called Nezu Naiyaki, freshly baked and crispy when eaten warm. πŸ“ Yanaka Ginza: A commercial street full of Japanese charm and cultural creativity, with many cute cat elements on the streets and in the shops, a must-visit for cat lovers. There's a shop called "Waguri-ya" that sells delicious chestnut ice cream. #YouHaveToSeeTheWorldToHaveAGlobalPerspective #Japan #Tokyo #Ueno #citywalk #OffTheBeatenPath #UenoPark #NezuShrine #JapanFreeTravel #TokyoFreeTravel
