Tokyo Free Trip (2)π
Our stay at the Akasaka Palace ended up being much longer than planned. By the time we finished lunch and made it to the National Diet Building, it was already half past two. πΏπ We just managed to book a 3 p.m. tour. Both the House of Councillors and the House of Representatives offer free tours, and we chose the House of Councillors. The tour guide was very diligent in their explanations, and the atmosphere was quite relaxed. Unfortunately, the tour was only in Japanese, so we couldn't understand much and just took random photos. πΏπ We should have opted for the English tour of the House of Representatives. The most interesting part of the House of Councillors was the chamber itself, where we could sit and experience a scene we had only seen on TV beforeβit was a truly unique feeling. π πΏπ Next to the National Diet Building is the Imperial Palace. By the time we left the House of Councillors, it was getting dark, so we just took a distant look at the palace grounds without going inside. Tomorrow, we're off to explore the outskirts of Tokyo again. πΏπ Tonight, we'll head back to the hotel early to enjoy a complimentary cocktail and soak in a carbonated hot spring. πΈ #JapanTravelTips #TokyoTrip πΏπ
