Tokyo Shitamachi Coffee Exploration (2)

Kiyosumi Garden 🌿✨ One of Tokyo's municipal gardens, Kiyosumi Garden offers incredibly affordable admission at just 150 yen (about 8 RMB). 🍃🌸Originally the courtyard of the Iwasaki family, founders of the Mitsubishi conglomerate, it was known as Fukagawa Shimotsuke-en. With a history spanning over 150 years, this vast garden is a peaceful retreat. 🌿✨ 🌿✨ On the day of my visit, the wind was particularly strong. 🍃🌸As I entered the garden, I could hear the rustling of the plants, as if they were whispering to me. Sitting on a bench by the pond, with the teahouse across from me, was incredibly relaxing. 🌿✨ The garden also features stones from all over Japan, each with a local introduction, making for an interesting exploration. 🌿✨ ☕️ Café Visit The café I visited, Fukadaso Café, is housed in a former apartment and warehouse called "Fukada-so." 🌸🌺The interior retains its original charm without excessive renovation. My friend and I ordered lattes and scones. The coffee was rich and aromatic, and the warm scones, paired with the café's homemade blueberry jam and fresh cream, melted away the fatigue of the week. 🍵✨ 📒 Location Information Fukagawa Kamasho Address: 2-1-13 Shirakawa, Koto-ku, Tokyo 🌸🌺 Access: 2-minute walk from Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station (Exit B2) on the Hanzomon Line Operating Hours: 🌸🌺11:00–22:00 11:00–15:00 (Tuesdays and Thursdays) #Tokyo 🌇✨
