Tokyo Vicinity | Kanagawa | A Day Trip to Odawara (2)πΈ
Daruma Ryori-ten Main Store π£ πΏπ At noon, we headed back to Odawara Station and walked about 8 minutes to a seafood restaurant that's been around since 185x! πΈThe place itself is even recognized as a cultural heritage site. It was a bit crowded on the weekend, but the restaurant is pretty spacious, so we only waited for less than 30 minutes. πΏπ Their specialties are the seafood set and tempura set. We ordered the seafood bowl and steamed amberjack, which were super fresh! It's a popular spot with locals, so you can't go wrong here! π πΈOdawara Castle π° June is the perfect time for hydrangeas and irises, and Odawara Castle Park is known for these two flowers. πΏπ The flowers are all concentrated in one area, with the hydrangeas growing in layers along the slope below the castle. πΈ It's really stunning and quite an impressive sight! The downside is that the area is fenced off, so you can't walk up the slope and get those picturesque "people in the flowers" shots like in Hayama. πΏπ For those interested in history, you can buy a ticket for a few hundred yen to tour the castle, but we weren't that interested, so we skipped it. πΊ #JapanTravel #Odawara #HistoricalSites πΏπ
