Top 1 Destination for Animal Lovers - Brazil's Pantanal
Transportation: Fly ✈️ to São Paulo → Cuiabá → Pantanal. From Cuiabá to Pantanal, you can rent a car, but I highly recommend hiring a guide for transportation. The Transpantaneira Road is a 140km wildlife-rich route with 120 bridges, offering frequent animal sightings along the way. Accommodation 🟢: I suggest staying at a hotel in Porto Jofre (the deepest part of Pantanal) for a few nights. Opt for a 4-day, 3-night package to enjoy two full days of boat tours for jaguar spotting. Then, spend one night at a lodge along the road to experience a Land Safari. Highly Recommended ✅: I chose Pousada Berço Pantaneiro - Ninho do Jaguar - Porto Jofre for my stay. The lodge owner shared that in 2011, he and his wife saw their first jaguar 🐆 here and fell in love with the place. Itinerary: Depart at 6:30 AM for a boat tour to spot jaguars 🐆. You’ll spend the entire day on the boat, with lunch provided as a packed meal 🍱 by the lodge. Return by 5:00 PM at the latest. Day 5: For the Land Safari experience, I stayed at Pousada Piuval. The lodge offers various safari options, and here, you can easily spot anteaters in the morning. I was lucky enough to see two anacondas here! #Rio de Janeiro# Pantanal#Pausada Piuval#TravelBrazil#Brazil#AnimalLovers#travel guide
