Yesterday, I visited Dishoom Battersea with six adults, three dogs, and a baby β and I was completely blown away! π The staff were absolutely incredible: genuinely friendly, attentive, and sincerely eager to help. They made us feel right at home, even allowing us to swap a few dishes on the "Feast" menu to better suit our tastes, and checked in on us regularly throughout the meal. In fact, I overheard another guest praising the team, saying both the service and food were outstanding β clearly, we werenβt the only ones impressed! ππ¬ We opted for the "Feast" menu, which offered a wonderful variety of dishes, including: π₯ Keema Pau (spiced minced lamb with buttered buns) π₯ Berry Bhel (a refreshing puffed rice salad) π Okra Fries (crispy and addictive!) π Chicken Curry (rich and aromatic) π Chicken Biryani (fragrant and flavorful) π¦ Kulfi (traditional Indian ice cream) πΊ Chilled Kingfisher Beer π» Every dish was packed with flavor and reminded me of my parents' home cooking β comforting yet expertly prepared. β€οΈπ¨βπ³ The atmosphere was fantastic β vibrant yet relaxed, beautifully decorated, and truly inclusive. The restaurant is very dog- and baby-friendly, which made a real difference for our family. One of my favorite moments was walking around the restaurant with my little niece β the staff were so warm and engaging, chatting with her as she waved at everyone (and sheβs quite the talker!). From start to finish, the place felt like a cozy, welcoming home. π§π It was my first time, though my family had been before β and now I totally get why. Iβll definitely be back.
