Toronto, Canada, 🇨🇦 A must-try in DT! A hidden treasure of food with a Showa-era Japanese style. 🇯🇵
This shop is hidden in DT and run by Japanese people. The decor instantly transports you back to the Showa era, really giving off that “retro Japanese vibe”! 🎌🏮 I ordered an amazing bowl of Wagyu Angus Beef Shoyu Ramen, and the beef slices were super thick. Every bite was juicy and tender—truly a classic Japanese shoyu ramen, plus a few slices of Wagyu. So satisfying! 🥩 (It’s a limited menu item!) I also ordered the Asakusa Udon Set. Originally, I was going to get the Tendon, but I switched to this because I didn’t want to get tired of the flavor. The udon paired with tempura was absolutely perfect, balancing out the richness of the fried food, and the presentation was super delicate. You can choose your own seafood and vegetables for the tempura. I highly recommend the eel and salmon—they were so tender and surprisingly delicious! However, the fried scallops were a bit ordinary, maybe just a matter of personal taste. The set also came with two huge tempura prawns, and the portion size was more than enough! The vegetable tempura included pumpkin, lotus root, and sweet potato—all of which were really tasty! It’s about $30 per person, and the value for money is incredible! All in all, this place really impressed me, and I highly recommend it! #Canada #Toronto #TorontoLife #TorontoExploration #TorontoFood #TorontoEats #Ramen #GlobalFoodSquad #FoodShare
