Toronto’s Always-Trustin' Spot 🍣✨

Revisited the newly renovated 📍Omai – and the vibe is still everything I love 🖤 The space is now more modern and minimalist, with a few new dishes on the menu 🧊 But tbh, I’m here for the classics—the OGs never disappoint 🙌 Omai’s tasting menu has gone from $65 to $95 per person 💸 It includes many signature dishes, but I still think à la carte is the way to go—you get exactly what you crave! 🌟 Premium Don A small bowl (ok, not as generous as i8’s lately 🫣), but the quality is top-notch 🐟 Scallop, Hamachi, bluefin tuna, uni—all flown in from Japan 🎌 So sweet and rich… the uni melts like creamy butter 🧈 And the sushi rice? Perfectly seasoned 💯 🌟 Omai Futomaki Came here just for this 🥢 Warm rice wrapped around layers of goodness—shrimp tempura stays CRUNCHY inside. That texture though… 😍 🌟 Bluefin Tuna & Black Truffle Temaki Eat it ASAP while the nori is still crispy! 🌊 But personally, I still prefer the scallop & caviar hand roll 🤤 🌟 Tonight’s Special: Crispy rice cake + Hamachi + yuzu sauce 🍋 Best enjoyed hot! The rice is fragrant and crunchy… but the combo felt a tiny bit mismatched 🧐 🌟 Must-order dessert: Monaka 🍪 Kyoto hojicha ice cream sandwiched in an ultra-crispy buckwheat wafer 🤍 Hold it with your hands and bite in—so refreshing, so CRUNCHY! You just gotta trust the classics. #TorontoFood #JapaneseCuisine #SushiLovers #OldButGold 🍱🎌💫
